About The Campaign

Where we are now

The past four years were successful for the Iowa City Area Development Group. The organization’s core programming contributed to positive outcomes with 41 individual projects and resulted in 1407 new and retained jobs and 16 new interstate commerce companies.

Where we are going

In 2016, ICAD participated in JPEC’s venture school and conducted customer discovery with over 75 community partners and investors. Through that process we learned what our partners and investors want to see from our economic development strategy moving forward. These were the top 5 values that were consistently reported:

Innovation

A vision for building an economy of the future

Connectivity

A vision for bridging people and ideas

Collaboration

A vision of the future by leveraging partnerships

Community

A vision of a prosperous future for everyone

Contribution

A vision of proactive investment where every person and
dollar advances economic development in the Iowa City area
